Reveal brighter, clearer, more even-looking skin with IPL Photofacial treatments at Well Aesthetics. This advanced light-based treatment improves sun damage, brown spots, redness, rosacea, and broken capillaries with little to no downtime.
What Is an IPL Photofacial?
Light that targets what you see. Results that speak for themselves.
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. Unlike a traditional laser that uses one focused wavelength, IPL uses pulses of broad-spectrum light to target multiple skin concerns at once, including unwanted pigment and visible redness.
During treatment, light energy is absorbed by areas of excess pigment and visible vessels beneath the skin. Over time, your body naturally clears the treated areas, leaving your complexion clearer, brighter, and more even. At Well Aesthetics, every treatment is customized for your unique skin.

Why Patients Love IPL
Clearer Skin.
Brighter Tone.
Less Downtime.
IPL Photofacial treatments are popular because they address multiple concerns in one appointment. Instead of targeting one spot, IPL helps improve the overall look of sun-damaged, uneven, or redness-prone skin with little to no downtime.
Advanced Technology · Candela
Nordlys®
SWT® IPL Technology
At Well Aesthetics, IPL Photofacial treatments are performed using the Candela Nordlys® platform with advanced SWT® IPL technology. This allows light energy to be filtered and customized for specific skin concerns, including pigmentation, redness, vascular concerns, and overall photorejuvenation.
Because every patient's skin is different, treatment settings are selected based on your skin type, treatment area, concerns, and candidacy. Our focus is always healthy skin, natural-looking results, and personalized care.
IPL vs. Laser Skin Resurfacing
Which Treatment Is Right for Me?
Not sure which treatment is right for you? Your provider will recommend the best plan based on your skin and goals during your consultation.
| IPL Photofacial | Laser Skin Resurfacing |
|---|---|
| Best for pigmentation, sun damage, redness, and rosacea | Best for acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and deeper texture |
| Uses light energy to target pigment and visible vessels | Uses fractional laser energy to resurface and remodel the skin |
| Little to no downtime for most patients | Usually involves more visible redness and recovery time |
| Great for overall tone, clarity, and redness | Great for texture, scars, and collagen remodeling |
| Often recommended for discoloration and redness | Often recommended for resurfacing and skin smoothing |
Many patients benefit from a combination of treatments over time. Your provider will help determine the best approach for your skin.
Your Treatment Journey
What to Expect
Consultation
We'll evaluate your skin, discuss your concerns, review your recent sun exposure, and determine if IPL is appropriate for your skin type and goals.
Treatment
Protective eyewear is worn and pulses of light are delivered to the treatment area. Most appointments take about 20 to 45 minutes depending on the area.
Recovery
Mild redness or warmth is common after treatment. Brown spots may temporarily darken before flaking away over several days. Redness and vessels improve gradually.
Results
Many patients notice a brighter, more even complexion after their first treatment. A series of 3 to 5 treatments is often recommended for best results.
